The first days of school are upon us and excitement has once again filled the late summer air. After an enjoyable summer, I too am ready for the faster pace and more structured routine of the school year.
I have been reviewing the latest achievement scores from the state M-STEP testing and am once again beyond impressed with how well our students continue to do. The work of our teachers and your dedication at home have produced exceptional results. We can be extraordinarily proud of how well our kids do. We will continue to celebrate our successes and plan for improvement in the indicated areas.
You will see some new faces in the offices this year. We have hired Kaycie Soderling as the new Junior High Principal and Josh Pahl as the Principal of the Elementary School. Emily Cote' will be spending part of her day as the Dean of Students in the Junior High as well. Emily will be focused on student affairs such as discipline and attendance, allowing Kaycie to focus on student achievement initiatives. I am excited to have these three working in our offices!
Enjoy the upcoming fall and remember to watch for school buses in the morning and afternoon.
