Gladwin High School's Varsity football team earned the program's first state championship on Saturday, November 26, 2022. The win at Ford Field capped off their undefeated season with an incredible 14-0. The Division 5 championship against Frankenmuth saw Gladwin take the win with a field goal in the final seconds of the game. The GHS Marching Band also made the trip to perform on the field at halftime, and the Gladwin community flooded the stands creating a sea of Gladwin blue that cheered the team on with unstoppable energy. The team made the journey back to Flying G country to bring their championship trophy home to Brokoff Field to ring the victory bell. The season, game, and community support (including our surrounding communities) will forever be one of the highlights of Gladwin High School and Gladwin Athletics!
