Gladwin Community Schools are doing amazing things and we want you to be involved more than ever! We are excited to begin using this app to provide you with brief reports of what is happening at the Board of Education Meetings. Although these meetings are open to the public, we know how busy everyone is and want to make it convenient for our hard working community to stay connected to the school.
The Board of Education meets twice each month. The first meeting is held on the second Monday of the month and is a business meeting. At this meeting, the Board votes on issues critical to the school's operation. The second meeting is held on the fourth Monday of the month and is a workshop. At these workshops, the Board hears presentations from the Superintendent on a variety of issues. The Board has the opportunity to discuss and debate these issues prior to them being presented for a vote at a future business meeting. The Board does not vote on issues at these workshops. Again, both of these meetings are open to the public and we encourage you to attend but understand that this is not always possible.
To help you stay informed, we will be using this app to share a brief report of what transpires at these meetings. If you have questions after reading these reports, feel free to give me a call at 989-429-0610 and I will be happy to provide answers. These reports are not meant to replace official meeting minutes but are just one more way for us to involve you, the community, in your incredible school district.
Its a great time to be a Flying G!
