Beat Beaverton t-shirts are available to order by Tuesday, 9/26. T-shirts are $15 regardless of size. Forms can be picked up in the high school office, and cash or check is due with your form. Orders can be dropped off in the high school office. Call 426-7341 with any questions.

THANK YOU for your food and personal hygiene donations last week in our Battle for the Bowl. Gladwin won by collecting more than 5,000 items, which is more than double last year's total! Between both the communities of Gladwin and Clare, more than 7,000 items were donated. We are Gladwin Proud.

Don't forget to drop off non-perishable foods or hygiene items off at the high school by TOMORROW. Our competition with Clare High School is fierce, and we want to beat them! The traveling trophy of the Food Bowl and a free I.T. for GHS is up for grabs. Final count will happen at the end of lunch tomorrow.

“BATTLE FOR THE BOWL” Food Drive! September 11-15, GHS will be competing against Clare High School to see which school can collect the most food/hygiene items. The winner will be awarded a large bowl shaped traveling trophy, at halftime of the Varsity Football game, to keep at their school for the year! Items collected in each school will stay in their respective communities and given to pantry’s in need. This is a SCHOOL WIDE EVENT! Drop off your food/hygiene items at the high school. Students can bring to their first hours.

Thank you to Members First Credit Union for the donation of school supplies. It's another reason we live in a great community!

Today GHS teachers took the time to get to know their students and build positive relationships. Kids went to their classes as usual, but each teacher had different games and activities. Kick ball, noodle ball, disc golf, card games, yard games, and basketball were some of the activities our teachers played with the kids. Students loved it and everyone was exhausted by the end of the day!

We've had some questions about how we are operating with the shooting in Beaverton. While we have no reason to believe our students are in any danger, just to be safe we are operating under an outside secure mode., meaning all outside doors/windows are closed and locked with blinds pulled. Students only will be let into the building by a staff member. We will continue to cooperate with local law enforcement throughout the day. Please give us a call if you have any questions.

The stage is set for our 120th commencement ceremony celebrating the Class of 2023! Join us tomorrow, Sunday, June 4, at 3:00 p.m. in Gladwin High School's gymnasium. If you're unable to attend, you can watch our livestream of the event on Gladwin Community School's Facebook page.

Just a reminder to the senior class that graduation practice is tomorrow at 8:25 a.m. in the high school gymnasium. It is REQUIRED to attend in order to walk at graduation. They do not need their caps and gowns, but should bring the shoes they plan to wear at graduation if they want to practice in them.

Today marked the seniors' last day. Members of the Class of 2023 had a picnic in the courtyard complete with inflatables, yard games, and music. Students signed each other's yearbooks, ate, and spent just a little more time together before graduation.

The Class of 2023 kicked off their senior events today with the Senior Walk through the district. Thank you to the students, staff, parents, and community for coming out to support our kids!

Gladwin High School is excited to have hosted Steve Pahl from the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers today as four of our talented students officially signed up for their apprenticeship programs. It is with immense pride that we highlight the fact that three of these students are enrolled in our amazing Career Technical Education program, which we proudly offer here at GHS. The only one not in CTE has been one of the driving forces behind our cutting edge broadcasting class for the past two years. Congratulations Nathan, Nick, JJ, and Gage as you take the next steps in your life!
